Whole House Remodel

This 1950’s ranch style house had multiple additions and remodels prior to our client’s purchase. The house was stripped to the bones including the pool and hardscape. The new floor plan has room sizes and features commensurate with houses in this prime neighborhood. The façade has a fresh look and the interior spaces feel much more open than the original maze-like layout. Poured concrete counters were used with a variety of tile and stone accents. The new kitchen allows for entertaining with ample space for the kids to play.

Second Story Game Room Addition

The existing house was remodeled and expanded in the 1980’s including the addition of a three car garage. The entry was impressive was grand but underutilized. We used the entry to split the stair providing access to a new game room and theater over the one story garage.

Bedroom, Bath Expansion & Whole House Remodel

This small 1950’s house had been expanded in the 1970’s but the addition was forced onto the original floor plan. We wanted to retain the floor are while achieving better circulation in a small footprint. The finished project will have premium finishes and fixtures breathing new life into this cozy home.

Entry, Kitchen Addition & Style Change

The existing 1960’s ranch style house had received an earlier master suite addition and suffered from an underwhelming entry. The kitchen was a very compact walk-thru galley. The new plan is far more spacious and dramatic incorporating a gourmet kitchen in the center of the living space. The exterior will be Spanish Colonial when the project is completed. We remodeled the house next door approximately ten years ago.

Los Altos, CA
Fire Damage Replacement

The owners lived in the old for close to three decades. In a moment’s notice they realized the garage wing was fully engulfed in flame and escaped immediately. The partially new house sits on the same foundation and some of the same floor framing. While the floor plan changes on the interior much of the envelope had to remain the same. We hope they’ll move in soon and spend another decade or two there.

East La Chiquita
Los Gatos, CA
Study & Media Room Addition

This home had been remodeled to imitate a New England Saltbox. In the process of expanding the house we changed to overall character to evoke Craftsman Bungalow characteristics. The living room and dining room now take advantage of a clearstory dormer treatment for natural light deep in the footprint. Repositioning the stair, ties interior entertaining spaces together eliminating the small box feeling from the previous floor plan.

Complete Remodel and Master Suite Expansion

This rambling Ranch with prow façade posed some unique challenges. The house was originally designed for a flat site and then built on a hillside property. We recaptured wasted space to create a new office and laundry, reconfigured the kitchen and enlarged the master suite to provide a large tub and separate shower room. Interior finishes and trim were replaced throughout the entire home. Deck and landscape work are still progressing.
