At 3,800 sf. this Contemporary home is not large, yet the interior volume is huge. The previous home was destroyed by fire and the site was heavily graded, while retaining the existing landscape. Construction started during the middle of the last El Nino winter leaving a mud bog. The foundation contractor somehow managed to create a clean foundation in the midst of torrential rains. At some points the ceiling is 28 feet tall; imagine setting huge beams with virtually nothing to stand on in the middle of a storm.
